Pignans
is a pretty, wonderful, and quiet village in the middle of Provence in
the Var departement. There is absolutely no mass tourism which allows
for a relaxed yet lively atmosphere.
Here you are a part of a
genuine French village life, where everyone greets everyone. At the
same time you are still just 30 minutes away from some of the top
beaches on the French Riviera and large cities. You will simply love
it!
You will shop around the corner. You will have your lunch at the Bar Des Sport. You can go out and make your own meal by shopping at the local butcher
and bakery. However, if you choose to go out there are a couple of nice
restaurants only 100m away from your front door or to one of the great
restaurants in only a short drive away. You can visit one of the three
great wineries in Pignans. At Thursdays you should visit the village
market.
Not far from Pignans in the neighboring village of
Gonfaron you will find a "Tortoise Village", which is perfect for
children and others! As well as the rural "Cork Museum", which is worth
a visit. All of this means when you are here you are in the middle of a
great region.
The village is also surrounded by some great
hiking opportunities, but sometimes you should just down in the town
